Up for sale is my 1997 Thomas International 3000 Series School Bus Conversion, otherwise known as as “Pax”
The conversion was originally completed in 2017 and renovated in 2020. The bus was my home for almost three years. Pax has traveled across the country twice and was in Southern California for most of the time that I lived in it. I am selling Pax as I am currently in the process of converting another larger bus to live in.
The engine is an International T444e engine paired with an Allison transmission. The bus has roughly 190k miles on it at the moment, has been serviced with new fluids and runs like a top.
The brakes and front tires are in good condition, however, the rear tires will need to be replaced soon.
The electrical and water hook ups are the same as a motorhome. The electric can be plugged into an RV hookup or a typical wall outlet and the water can be hooked up to a standard hose, pretty simple. There is a grey water tank under the bus but no black water since the bus is designed to carry a compost toilet. The stove and water heater are powered by propane and there is a tank holder on the back of the bus. The bus also comes with 2 AC and Heat units.
The Interior of the bus was constructed by my father (class A builder) and I. It’s fully insulated, and comes with new floors, refinished countertops, new interior paint, a new bathtub, and a new toilet room. There is a storage room under the bed which has functioned sort of like my garage, and plenty of closet space to go along. I have a TV that used to hang in the living room as well as matching curtain rods and curtains. They are not seen in the photos but I will include them if you want them.
I spent a lot of time loving this bus!! I hope to find someone who will love it as much as I have and enjoy making memories with Pax.
