2010 Chevrolet Express 4500 Collins 5 window High Roof Short bus for sale. This is Titled as a Motorhome already (MH for body type on the title) for RV conversion.
This is a harder to find Collins body with a higher roof than found on the Thomas and Bluebird bodies. I am 6ft 1″ and can stand anywhere in the bus with extra headroom. This is the only one I’ve found I don’t bang my head on. The bus runs and drives excellent, as good as you can imagine. I have included a 20 minute video linked below showing the bus and driving it on the highway. It has the very reliable LS (L96) 6.0 Gas engine and this was the first year for the upgraded 6 speed (6L90e) transmission. This bus very very likely (most definitely) has had a new or remanufactured transmission fitted at some point as it shifts like new and being such a heavy vehicle used in the stop and go way school buses do there’s no way the original one would’ve survived this long and still be this good. Unfortunately I don’t have any service records, the company I bought it from (STA) does in house maintenance they aren’t really concerned with resale value but I can tell you they have stayed on top of the maintenance because there are no mechanical issues I can find that will need attention.
It’s a very good bus. The bus has 219k miles on the odometer which if that sounds discouraging to you I understand but also suggest you research these engines. This is a very solid bus with minimal rust and no mechanical issues I have taken it on several trips already and it’s been flawless. I would drive it anywhere in the country.
